The 2007 NHL Playoffs Schedule (First-Round)

Well, the time has come! The NHL playoffs are upon us and we will be covering as much hockey as you can stand for the post-season, offering up predictions, scores and analysis of all of the NHL action as the most exciting playoffs in pro sports begins. The brackets have just been released for the 2007 post-season, too, so we can start getting warmed up and picking winners for each of the match-ups. The playoffs begin April 11.

Eastern Conference Quarterfinals

Series A – #1 Buffalo Sabres vs. #8 New York Islanders
Series B – #2 New Jersey Devils vs. #7 Tampa Bay Lightning
Series C – #3 Atlanta Thrashers vs. #6 New York Rangers
Series D – #4 Ottawa Senators vs. #5 Pittsburgh Penguins

Western Conference Quarterfinals

Series E – #1 Detroit Red Wings vs. #8 Calgary Flames
Series F – #2 Anaheim Ducks vs. #7 Minnesota Wild
Series G – #3 Vancouver Canucks vs. #6 Dallas Stars
Series H – #4 Nashville Predators vs. #5 San Jose Sharks

As mentioned, the playoffs begin on April 11. Playing that night will be Anaheim/Minnesota, Vancouver/Dallas, Nashville/San Jose and Ottawa/Pittsburgh.
